She won the 1993 World Figure Skating Championship in her first senior competitive season. She then won the gold medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics, defeating Nancy Kerrigan.
Then she went downhill. Many DUI's, car wrecks and rehab stints later she claimed to have cleaned up her act. She is still looking pretty rough. Ok, extremely rough.
Today is her 29th birthday. Yes, you heard me right...only 29!
