Popular Bollywood actress, Manisha Koirala, finally got married to a Nepalese businessman named Samrat Dahal. The marriage ceremony took place on June 18, 2010 at the Gokarna Forest Resort, ten kilometers from Kathmandu.
Though the Koiralas are a prominent political family in Nepal, aside from President of Nepal, Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal no other political personalities were invited to the wedding ceremony.
It was a low-key family affair which was attended by family members and close friends. The bride and groom wore traditional dresses and exchanged rings amidst the chanting of mantras.
Among Bollywood personalities, actor Suman Ranganathan, Govinda’s wife, Sunitha and Vivek Mushran attended the wedding and blessed the couple. Delicious Indian and Nepalese cuisines were served to the guests.
The wedding was held on June 18, 2010 at the Gokarna Forest Resort, near Kathmandu.The ceremony was a low-key affair attended by family members and close friends. A grand reception will be held at the Hotel Saltee Crown Plaza on Saturday.
