Mena Suvari American Pie fame tie knots with Simone Sestito
American Pie's Mena Suvari and her fianceé Simone Sestito were married on Saturday in Vatican City, Italy.
Mena, 31 and Simone, 25, got engaged in 2008 and met at the Toronto Film Festival about a year earlier in 2007. The couple chose to get married in Rome because many of Simone's relatives live near the Italian city.
"I love him. He's Italian and my family is part Greek, and it's all about family and culture...I love his family and it just inspires me to live that kind of life." Mena told Us Magazine in an interview back in the fall.
Simone is also very in love and told People Magazine that he and Mena understand each other very well, "She's very caring and understanding. There was a connection." He added.
The pair has fun together and it is said that they love to play each ohter at poker. They even went to Vegas and Simone claimed that his bride made more money that he did!
Mena will next be seen in the romantic comedy You May Not Kiss the Bride.
