Rahat Taslim 1st Crore Pati of KBC season 4
Rahat Taslim (37) from a village near Giridih, Jharkhand, became the first person to win the Rs 1 crore prize on the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 4.
Homemaker Rahat Taslim won the prize amount on November 8 and had to keep the good news to herself till the promos of her winning episode were aired just a few days ago.
Rahat says, “I had not even told my children (son – Faisal and daughter – Taseem) that I won the amount of Rs 1 crore.” She adds, “I used my lifeline ‘phone-a-friend’ and Amitabh Bachchan told my brother that I won Rs 50 lakh. So as soon as I reached home they asked me about the game and I had to tell them that I gave the wrong answer and hence I just managed to win Rs 3 lakh 20 thousand. I didn’t share the news of my victory with anybody, except my husband, Imtiaz.”
Rahat confirms that not sharing the news of winning Rs 1 crore was the toughest thing to do. She was asked by the channel Sony that airs KBC to not share the news with everybody. She says, “Also I love surprises. And I wanted to surprise my kids and my relatives and hence chose to say nothing till the promos were aired.”
Rahat revealed that she was considered to be very unlucky by her mother but this big win will make her the luckiest member in her family and they won’t forget her contribution down the generations. This is definitely a dream come true for a woman like Rahat and we wish the show brings out many other persons like her who need the money and also have the capability and intelligence to win it!
