“Band Baaja Baraat” is a ‘romantic comedy movie’ attempt by a first time director Maneesh Sharma and is produced by Yash Raj films. The cast of the film includes, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ fame and a new comer Ranveer Singh who according to sources, has no acting or modeling experience.
The story is about Shruti(Anoushka) and Bittoo (Ranveer), in their early twenties who have just graduated from college. Anoushka and Bittoo have very different personalities. Anoushka is a very ambitious girl, while Bittoo is a very irresponsible guy and spends most of his time loitering with friends.
Shruti and Bittoo begin a new business of wedding planners, with a strict rule that they will not mix business with pleasure. Throughout their business they face many difficulties in keeping pace with the lavish weddings in the colorful and rich city of Delhi. And eventually the two discover their blooming friendship.
The movie will be releasing on 10th December 2010, and it is time to see if the audience accepts the new comer Maneesh as a potential actor.
