Katrina Kaif Aka Sheil ki Jawani turns to Sadhvi and joined Satsang
Katrina Kaif has all the reasons in the world to be happy right now. She just received the news that she, along with former beau Salman Khan, is the most downloaded celebrity by Indian mobile users in 2010, and now she has snagged a part in director Prakash Jha's upcoming movie Satsang.
It seems like Mr. Jha was happy with her performance in his latest film Raajneti in which Katrina starred opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Raajneeti is a political thriller that deals with Indian politics and concentrates on Indian democracy and elections. The film illustrates unstoppable ambition and how it can lead to violent battles. Ultimately the film is about people who understand power and how to use it.
At first it seemed like Prakash's and Katrina's days working together were over as the actress was not ask to star in the director's project, Aarakshan. But now the beauty can take a big sigh of relief as Jha has asked her once again to be part of his new venture about the industry of religion in India.
Katrina will play a woman from the West in search of spirituality in India. She will have to go de-glam as her character will wear ochre robes and no makeup. The scenario sounds a little bit like Julia Robert's latest film, Eat Pray Love, and we are eager to see what Mr. Jha has come up with in terms of originality and creativity.
Starring in Satsang will most definitely be challenging for Katrina as she is used to being cast as the perfect item girl alongside charismatic stars like Akshay Kumar, but the actress insists she is ready for her close-up! "Prakashji and I have discussed the part in detail. This is one film that I've do the most preparation for. I'm open to the challenge," Katrina told reporters.
