Amidst all the anxiety and eagerness of who would be the next beauty queen, the event promises a whole lot of masala and spice alongside. There are Bollywood actors who are sizzling the stage with their performances. Neha Dhupia, the sexy former Miss India, has just performed to ‘Zoobie zoobie’ from 3 Idiots. Salim Merchant, India Idol Season 5 judge was on stage and has dedicated ‘Kurbaan hua’ from Kurbaan to the contestants. Other actors expected to perform tonight include the sensuous Lara Dutta, every gal’s favourite Salman Khan and ‘Prince’ Vivek Oberoi. Didn’t we say, the event would be a mix of glamour and spice!

The show’s getting hotter and people who matter have already poured in. Among the ones spotted so far include Waluscha Robinson who looks charming in a black dress. Also spotted are Sania Mirza’s parents – Imran and Naseem Mirza, fashion designer Ritu Kumar, cosmetologist Dr Purnima Mhatre and heavyweight customs commissioner Tarun Govil.

PFMI '10 finalists arrive on the larger-than-life stage of Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010! They look resplendent in identical short golden numbers. They are performing to hit numbers like ‘Tere ishq me hadd se guzar jau... jo jooth kahu toh mar jau’ from Housefull, ‘Masakalli’ from Delhi 6 and ‘Jalwa’ from Fashion. The girls now come forward and introduce themselves.
Hosts with the most
Hosts for the evening - Mandira Bedi and Rohit Roy are raring to go. Wearing a trademark ‘noodle strap’ silver bustier and a flaming orange net sari, she is oozing sex appeal. Rohit is looking handsome in a copper coloured bandhgala. They rib each other about Mandira being a ‘woman of substance’ (the Femina tag line) so she should be the host, while Rohit calls himself ‘chabila’ who will charm the ladies, which is his reason to host the show. The battle is amicably settled and the two take the evening forward among a thundering applause from the audience.
Judges and jury
As the finalists get ready, counting their final moments and rehearsing for one last time before they walk the ramp for the coveted Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2010 title, in walk the judges. Like every year, the jury this time also is a good mix of people from diverse fields. The jury members include the newly wed Sania Mirza wearing a beautiful red evening gown and large chandelier earrings, boxing champ and Olympic winner Vijender Singh looks smashing in a formal suit, the curvaceous Shilpa Shetty wearing a short, sexy black number along with actor Kunal Kapoor, fashion designer Ritu Beri looking sporty in a pink short dress, popular author Chetan Bhagat, and filmmaker Anurag Basu. Now, with experts like these, all that we want to know is who will appeal to their eyes!
The stage is set
The look is ethereal and breathtaking – like the PFMI ’10 finalists themselves. On this very stage one of them will be crowned the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010 and history will be created. The colours chosen to do up the stage are sliver, magenta and blue. Like the girls themselves, the stage too is looking awesome. Who will it be? Let’s wait and watch...
