Ritu Pandey hOt Bhojpuri Actress alleges casting couch

A non-cognisable (NC) offence was registered against casting director Vansh Pathak on Friday after a Bhojpuri film actress accused him of asking her to 'compromise' for furthering her career.

Police said Bhojpuri actor Ritu Pandey approached them this afternoon alleging that Pathak had called her and sent her objectionable text messages stating that she had to 'compromise' with him to get a career boost.

Based on Pandey's complaint, the NC was registered and Pathak would be called for questioning, said senior inspector Avinash Sawant at Kanakia police station.

Pandey, who claimed to have acted in at least 15 Bhojpuri films, said she met Pathak recently through a common friend.

"I asked him for roles in films. However, ever since I met him at Goregaon, he has been asking me to 'compromise' with him. Otherwise, he says, he would ruin my career," she claimed.

Inspector Sawant said they were investigating the victim's claims and, if required, after preliminary inquiry an FIR would be lodged against the casting director.
