Punjabi kudi Kulraj started her career with the popular television serial 'Kareena Kareena'. A story of a girl who plays a dual character role the eponymous 'Kareena Kareena'. The serial was aired on Zee Television and was a channel driver with the highest TRP's for that year.
After having successfully completing 200 episodes, she then moved on to 'Mannat' her first feature film in Punjabi. Produced by Anuradha Prasad (BAG Films) Kulraj played the lead opposite Jimmy Shergill. The film was appreciated in North India (where it released) and overseas including UK, Canada and USA. 'Mannat' provided a platform for Kulraj to showcase her acting skills and was noticed by none other than Anil Sharma ('Apne', 'Gaddar') to play the lead role for his forthcoming film 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' which launches Anil Sharma's brothers; Kapil Sharma as an actor and Sunjay Sharma as the debutant director.
Her last Punjabi feature film, 'Tera Mera Ki Rishta' produced by Spice Cine Vision, opposite Jimmy Shergill was a run away hit, especially in Canada where it ran to pack houses for 3 weeks. Her popularity also made her the 1st actress to be invited by the Alberta Legislative Assembly and was honored for her contribution towards the Punjabi Cinema.
Her first Bollywood film,' Chintuji' released on September 4 where she shares the screen with Rishi Kapoor and plays the female lead protagonist with Priyanshu Chatterjee. Directed by Ranjit Kapoor, the film was very well received and got great reviews from the critics. Later she will be seen in 'Mastang Mama', produced by Nikhil Panchamiya which is a roller-coaster laugh riot where she portrays a very different role opposite Ruslaan Mumtaz (Tere Sang) and Tanay Cheddha (Slumdog Millionaire).
