The sweet Detroit native, 28, beat out 19 other women to win Flavor Flav's hand in the second season of VH1's runaway hit, Flavor of Love. And while the tow lovebirds have been busy criss-crossing the country since the season ended, the State Farm insurance agent, whose birth name is London Charles, is determined to make it work! In fact, the two "are going to take a quick vacation" soon, says Deelishis.
Star catches up with the busy mother of one to talk about life with Flavor Flav.

He's genuine. He's fun. He has a good sense of humor. He's charismatic. He knows how to treat a lady. You can trust that he's going to be trustworthy and loyal. Those are things that have greater appeal to me than how he appears physically. But he's not so bad (looking). He's perfect for me.
Q:So you have real feelings for Flav?
Yes. I would sit down and take a lie detector test if you guys wanted me to.
Q:What about the news that he has another child coming?
I am OK with it. That baby was conceived prior to him ever meeting Deelishis. I am embracing the situation as long as [the mother] knows who the lady is in his life--and she does.
Q: Who's the mom?
No comment. But we're making sure she's healthy and the baby is healthy
Q: Did you think you had a good shot of winning?
No. When New York returned to the contestants house, everyone else assumed she would take it home. Why else would she be there?
Q: Was it stressful being with the other women?
To be honest, yes. But it was a lot of fun, too. I am an only child, so it was a lot of fun being in a household where there were different personalities. I am actually good friends with a few of the girls still to this day.
Q: What about New York? You two where at war!
New York is fine. I sort of respect her because she has been this person since the beginning. She can be who she is as long as she doesn't impose on me. So I don't have a problem with her. I look forward to watching her new show, and I just wish her the best of luck.
Q:How's dating Flav going?
It's been hard because the show as so big this season that it pulled him in one direction and pulled me in another direction. Still, we're making money while we're doing it, so we're happy.
Q:What else in in the works?
I am working on stopping violence against women and children, so I am going to form my own foundation.
