Katrina Kaif in Salman's Veer

Katrina Kaif in Salman's Veer - No the statement is wrong, She is Beautiful Zarine Khan
Salman VEER Khan did not notice Zarine’s similarity to Katrina Kaif??

Salman Khan, the macho man of bollywood who has one of the best physiques in the industry to play the warrior in a period flick like ‘Veer’, has denied flatly that Zarine Khan got the lead role opposite him because of her uncanny resemblance to sizzling hot sexy bombshell Katrina Kaif.

In fact, Salman Khan went to the extent of saying that he cast Zarine Khan, a newcomer in bollywood, as a fresh face like her could give unpredictable twists and turns to the period flick. The industry has been abuzz from the very beginning that Salman Khan chose Zarine Khan to play the lead opposite him in Anil Sharma’s ‘Veer’, as Katrina Kaif had refused the flick and Salman was adamant on casting someone who looked like Katrina Kaif, his beau.

As Zarine Khan was already playing the body double of Katrina Kaif in Subhash Ghai’s ‘Yuvvraaj’, Salman Khan had no difficulty in choosing her to play the role.

Salman Khan not only had the final say in selecting Zarine Khan opposite him for the flick but also wrote the script of the film after getting inspired from Hollywood’s classic flick ‘Taras Bulba’. It was around twenty years back, when he was shooting for his flick ‘Baaghi’, that the macho Khan had completed the script of this flick.

In fact, the period flick starts in year 1875 during the British era. However, Salman Khan has made the script look contemporary by making suitable changes in the storyline of the flick, which finally got translated on celluloid by director Anil Sharma.

As the period flick revolves around the story of a Pindari warrior fighting against British Rule in the country, Salman Khan had to continuously ride horses during the shooting of the flick. He would start at six in the morning and the shooting continued for almost twelve hours after that.

It was especially painful for Salman Khan during the long shooting spell in Rajasthan’s desert. As the long war sequences were shot in Rajasthan, Salman felt exhausted after shooting for twelve days in succession on horse back.

As ‘Veer’ is due for a worldwide release on January 22 next year, Salman Khan is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a success at the box office. He recently showed the unedited version of the flick to his father veteran Salim Khan and received a lot of appreciation for the superb portrayal of his character.
