The romantic entertainer Chikku Bukku, produced by Media One Global Entertainment and directed by late Jeeva's former assistant Manikandan, is releasing on December 3 worldwide.

When all the attention is on Arya and Shriya, there is one pretty face who is making her debut in an equally important role - as Arya's love interest in the film. She is Preetika, younger sister of Amritha Rao. . In this exclusive interview to sify.com, Preethika opens up.

Why did you decide to get launched in Tamil cinema?

Well, it's not one of those clinched stories of a model turning actress... wanting to experiment in the South before venturing into Bollywood. That's definitely not my case!

And I would like to believe that it's the Tamil industry that chose me for a debut! I was just fortunate to find myself in such a prestigious project launched by Media One Global Entertainment with a talented youth icon like Arya.

How did you agree to do a film in which Shriya shares screen space with you?

Actually, when I was approached for Chikku Bukku, Shriya Saran had not been signed on. Director Manikandan was looking to cast a Bollywood actress in the main lead opposite Aarya, and had initially approached Vidya Balan for my role. Vidya had date problems, so I bagged the movie instead!

It was only at the end of my first schedule in Karaikudi that the director broke the good news that Shriya has agreed to be a part of the project. I was thrilled because Shriya has a huge fan following and her jumping onto the bandwagon only took the project to another league.

But when you will see the movie you will realise that both Shriya and I have very diversely interesting characters to play in an excellent script conceived by debutant director Manikandan.

You seem to have been sidelined in the publicity of the film.

According to me, the publicity of the movie is happening just the way it should be! I can say that because I know the script and the promotional requirements of the film.

The director wants to carry my portion as a surprise element. That is why even Arya's portion in the movie along with me is kept under wraps until the release.

What's your role and how was it working with Arya?

It's a love story and the role I play is of a traditional girl from Karaikudi with typical Indian values. Working with Arya was fun because he has a great sense of humour and he made me laugh all the time, but during shots he was a hardcore professional.

You shot most of your portions in Karaikudi. Tell us about the experience?

I was stunned by Karaikudi - it is such a beautiful Chettinadu heritage village! Just walking down the quaint lanes wearing the traditional pattu pavadai and a plait made me feel like I was living another life!

Also I had great fun with the village kids who played school students in the movie. They were fond of me and would stick with me all day! They just made my shooting experience very special!

Your sister Amritha Rao is a big star in Bollywood. How is she reacting to your Kollywood debut?

Amritha is very happy for me! This year, in most probability, she will also be doing a South movie. It would mark her second movie in Telugu cinema.

Have you picked up the Tamil language?

To an extent I have. I am still learning Tamil. I'm originally a Mangalorean and speak Konkani. My great grandfather retired as a Sales Tax Tribunal from Madras in the 1950s and my grandmother was born and raised in Madras and speaks Tamil.

So I like to believe that somewhere Tamil runs in my genes - making the language easy for me to grasp!

What are your future plans?

Now that I have entered cinema, I would like to work hard and give it my best shot. I would like to entertain my audiences by portraying sensible roles and basically proving myself as a good artist.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader Preview, Story

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, is a 3D fantasy-adventure based on CS Lewis' third novel in the Narnia series.

Releasing 18 months later than scheduled, it was not a fantasy ride on the production front. The film was plagued by changes in crew, including the director and producers, and disputes between Disney and Walden. 20th Century Fox stepped in as distributor instead of Disney, and will also retain the rights to the next, and last, installment in the series.

Three years after their last adventure Edmund and Lucy are the only Pevensies who can still travel to the magical world of Narnia. The eldest siblings, 15 year old Peter and 14 year old Susan, are now too old to do so.

The saga continues when the two younger Pevensies go to stay with their cousin Eustace Scrubb.

To their surprise, the trio are drawn into a painting of an old ship and they join the new King of Narnia, King Caspian.

The ship, The Dawn Treader, is the first ship Narnia has seen in centuries. Fearful of the depth and challenges of the sea, Caspian's Telmarine ancestors had never built ships before.

King Caspian has built it for his voyage to find the seven lords, who are good men banished from their land when Caspian's evil uncle Miraz usurped the throne a long time ago.

The journey takes Edmund, Lucy, Eustace and King Caspian to the Eastern Islands, beyond the Silver Sea.

Along their way they see sights they could never imagine - a river that turns whatever it touches to gold; confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies.

They meet Lilliandil the half-star and reunite with their old friend and protector, Aslan the great Lion.

Their mission is to save Narnia from an "unfathomable fate" and the terrifying White Witch, who takes the form of a mysterious green mist.

Meet the characters:
Lucy Pevensie, played by Georgie Henley, is now a 10 year old girl, who has infallible faith in Aslan and hopes for Narnia.

Skandar Keynes is Edmund Pevensie, Lucy's 12 year old brother who had been captured by the White Witch earlier.

Eustace Scrubb, a new character taken on by Will Poulter, is their annoying 9 year old brother who inadvertently gets transported to Narnia as well.

Hunky Ben Barnes returns as Caspian, the Telmarine King of Narnia, who the Pevensies helped get the throne back from his evil uncle.

Lilliandil is the daughter of the star, Ramandu, who helps the group on their quest.

Aslan the Great Lion, Narnia's guardian and ruling spirit, is voiced by Liam Neeson.

We met the adorable and extremely brave mouse Reepicheep 3 years ago. He lost his tail in their last battle together. Fortunately, Aslan magicked him a new tail in reward for his courage. Simon Pegg voices Reepicheep. The magical Minotaurs will be in on the adventure.

Jadis, the White Witch, played by Tilda Swinton, once ruled Narnia until she was killed by Aslan. Chris Cruickshanks plays Cruickshanks the Dwarf. Eustace gets turned into a dragon midway through the adventure, and comes back a much nicer boy.

Ramandu's daughter, the half star, is never named in the book but she's called Lilliandil in the film. Caspian and Lilliandil fall in love and she returns with him to become Queen of Narnia.

The Dawn Treader takes Caspian and the children to faraway islands beyond the Eastern seas. Life on board the Dawn Treader for Caspian and Edmund. The Pevensies and King Caspian put in some paperwork along the way.

Lilliandil is their guiding light on the Island of the Star. Lucy Pevensie's all grown up since she met Mr Tumnus the Faun in the first chronicle of Narnia. Caspian and Edmund go head to head. On Ramandu's Island – The Island of the Star is the last in their voyage on board the Dawn Treader.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader comes to a theater near you on December 3.

Dil To Bacha Hai Ji Movie first look, story, preview

Bollywood actors Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi unveiled the first look of 'Dil To Bacha Hai Ji' here over the weekend.

Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, The film stars Ajay Devgn, Amisha Patel, Emraan Hashmi, Jiah Khan and Omi Vaidya.

Bhandarkar said he had moved away from making serious cinema and that this time he has tried his hand at comedy.

" 'Dil To Bacha Hai Ji' is a slice of life, a different cinema. My cinema has always been hard hitting and real. This is also real but comedy as well. The whole genre of this movie is comedy. This is a slice of life and everybody will relate to this subject," said Bhandarkar.

Devgan described the movie as a romantic comedy and added that people from all age groups will connect with it.

"It's a nice romcom (romantic and comedy) with which I think every youth and people from all age groups will identify. It's a kin of comedy, which happens, in everybody's real life but we don't laugh on it. So, I think it's a different kind of genre," he said.

'Dil To Bacha Hai Ji' is a tale of three men and their encounters with love.

Hashmi said the tagline of the movie is appropriate, as it highlights that men usually don't grow up and remain immature.

"The tagline of the movie 'Dil To Bacha Hai Ji' emphasises on men that they generally don't grow up. It's an apt tagline for the movie. Generally men don't grow up. I think women become mature at an early stage. Men grow up to the age of 30-35 but still remain immature," said Hashmi.

"So, it is an apt tagline. The story is based on three men who are in the age group of 30, 35 and 39 but still they are struggling with love, with their relationships," he added.

Pritam Chakraborty has composed the music of the movie.

The movie is slated to hit the theatres on January 28.

In France, the 'Harry Potter' movie collected its best last week with $19.1 million, which is the best opening of the country this year.

It indicates that the Harry Potter fans are not at all bored with Harry's magical wand and they can watch it for next few years too, if there comes any other sequel. Munni gets Pak cops into trouble

Officers at a police station in Pakistan's Gujranwala district paid a heavy price for being enamoured with the Dabangg super-hit song Munni Badnam Hui when they were suspended Friday for forcing three female dancers to perform it at the police station.

Three dancers of a musical troupe in Lahore were on their way to Gujranwala to perform at a marriage ceremony, but officers of the Sadhoki police station stopped them at a checkpost midway and took them to the police station, Dunya TV reported.

Having arrested the dancers, the policemen were not ready to let go the opportunity to have some fun.

They asked the dancers to perform to the Malaika Arora hit song Munni Badnam Hui one by one. After having his wish fulfilled, the police station in-charge registered an FIR against the three dancers and detained them in a lock-up.

The dancers, who could not go home even after entertaining the police officers, were only released on bail after two days.

They filed a writ petition before the session judge who ordered an inquiry after listening to their plight.

The Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala, Tariq Masood Yaseen, after conducting an inquiry, has suspended the police station in-charge Abid Farooq and the entire staff, the channel said.

All of them have been detained in the same lock-up where they kept the dancers for two days while further investigation is underway.
